Your Guide to Setting Up Your Trezor Hardware Wallet

Welcome to Trezor, the world's original and most trusted hardware wallet. Follow this simple guide to securely set up your device and take control of your cryptocurrency assets.

Unbox and Connect: Carefully unbox your Trezor device. Using the provided USB cable, connect your Trezor to your computer or compatible mobile device.

Visit Trezor Start: Navigate to the official Trezor Suite web application. Your device will prompt you to install the latest firmware, ensuring you have the most up-to-date security features.

Create a New Wallet: Choose to "Create a new wallet." Your Trezor will generate a unique recovery seed—a list of words that serves as the master key to your entire wallet.

Write Down Your Recovery Seed: This is the most critical step. You will be shown your recovery seed on the device's screen. Write down each word in the exact order on the provided recovery seed card. Never digitize this seed (no photos, screenshots, or cloud storage).

Confirm the Seed: To ensure you recorded it correctly, your Trezor will ask you to re-enter a selection of the seed words. This verifies your backup.

Set a PIN: Protect your device with a PIN code. This adds a physical layer of security, preventing unauthorized physical access even if someone has your device.

Access Your Dashboard: Once setup is complete, you will enter the Trezor Suite interface. Here you can view your portfolio, receive crypto by sharing your address, and send transactions.

Explore Advanced Features: Dive into the Suite to use features like coin control, multi-account management, and integrated exchanges to buy, sell, and trade assets directly and securely.
